Who Are We? We are one of the largest electronics representative firms in the nation in terms of people and sales.

R.O. Whitesell & Associates is a long-term member in good standing of the , (ERA), the international trade organization comprised of qualified, professional manufacturers' representative firms. ERA acts as the worldwide conduit across the electronics industry for manufacturers seeking professional field sales firms to sell their products. ERA also serves as a resource for electronics and high technology industries. Among the eight classifications of the ERA marketing groups, R. O. Whitesell & Associates is a member of the components marketing group. As a member of the ERA, we support the educational and communication efforts of the organization which keep our company abreast of technology advances in the electronics marketplace, as well as the latest in marketing and sales techniques, which directly benefit our principals and customers.
R.O. Whitesell & Associates is a member in good standing of the , (MANA). We adhere to the Code of Ethics of the organization and strive to create professional, effective business partnerships that serve worldwide markets in the most cost-effective manner.
Certifications
ISO 9002
R. O. Whitesell & Associates attained ISO 9002 registration in our automotive offices on January 8, 1996. The registered offices are Clarkston,MI, Cleveland,OH, Farmington Hills,MI, Huntsville,AL, Indianapolis, IN,and Kokomo. IN. We believe we were the first manufacturers representative firm to be awarded this registration in the United States. ISO refers to the International Organization for Standardization, founded in 1946 to develop a common set of manufacturing, trade and communication standards for quality. Many facets of manufacturing (including the automotive industry, with which we work very closely), have embraced the ISO standards. Complying with the standards has helped us identify and record our procedures and streamline our operations. We have learned that quality is not just something you talk about, but a set of standard procedures that must be followed by everyone in the organization.
CPMR 
We are proud that all of our company managers have earned the coveted CPMR designation. When you see these initials after the name of a manufacturers' representative, you know you're in good hands. The CPMR designation of the Manufacturers' Representatives Educational Research Foundation stands for Certified Professional Manufacturers' Representative, and can only be used by graduates of the Institute for Professional Advancement's certification program. A CPMR has successfully completed a three-year course. This includes on-campus university residency covering all the financial, legal, long range planning, succession and management issues inherent in operating a state-of-the-art professional multiple-line field sales organization.

QUALITY AWARDS
R. O. Whitesell & Associates received the State of Indiana Quality Improvement Award on October 26, 1998.
The Indiana Business Modernization and Technology Corporation administers this award on behalf of the State of Indiana. It states, "The purpose of the State of Indiana Quality Improvement Award is to recognize the quality achievements of Indiana companies and organizations and to celebrate with them the satisfaction and pride that come from a job well done, particularly where quality improvement is the goal and the prize." The award "symbolizes leadership…leadership in helping to establish the conceptual and organizational culture in which quality and customer satisfaction are incubated and nurtured."
The award was presented to Jerry Bean, President, by Joseph E. Kernan, Lieutenant Governor of the State of Indiana at ceremonies held in the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. |
